Throwback to October Snapshots!

Hispanic Heritage Pride

Hispanic Heritage Month is a time of the year where we observe the unique contribution that Hispanics have made to the story of the United States and what our community has provided.

Play is the foundation for language acquisition and development, especially in young children!

Fine motor skills are an essential part of child development; what better way to practice these skills than by learning our colors, shapes and number all at the same time!

Fine Motor Skills involve the use of small muscles to control the hand, fingers, and thumb. These abilities gradually develop through experience and exposure to a variety of toys, materials, and even foods.

Science can be simply, and it can be fun! Beginning when children are very young, science helps shape their development.

Trunk or Treat Event

Thank you to all our Awesome A Sunny Start Preschool Parents for all your support during our Trunk or Treat event. We couldn’t do this without you!

October has been a breeze and we now enter November full of gratitude and thankfulness! The children are well adapted in their classrooms by now, establishing strong relationships with their teachers and their peers. We have also seen tremendous progress both academically and socio-emotionally and we are so proud to see how far the children have come!

November is a month that encompasses gratitude, family, and humbleness. Teachers will be discussing with children these important values, as well the history of thanksgiving, who the pilgrims and Native Americans were and how they contributed to what we now know as the Thanksgiving Feast and how this act became a beautiful tradition and an imperative part of U.S History! During this month, we will also observe several National “days” such as STEAM Day and World Kindness Day; more information on these events will be sent out periodically throughout the month prior to the event.

We wanted to thank all of our families for your generosity and involvement during the month of October. Hispanic Heritage was a success and the kids greatly enjoyed incing their cupcakes on National Cupcake Decorating Day! Your cooperation and involvement in your child’s educational journey is recognized and appreciated!
